Instrument Appraisal Service
We offer insurance appraisal service for violin and stringed instruments to establish the retail replacement value. This is the most common type of appraisal requested by our clients. When submitting an instrument for appraisal at our Chicago workshop, approximately five business days are needed to complete the work required. During that time we will study the instrument, take detailed high-quality photos, make an extensive condition report, and take all of the necessary measurements and notes for our work file. John K. Becker is an accredited member of the Appraiser’s Association of America.
